A fabulous basement restaurant - though the description hardly does this great, great bar restaurant justice. Awash with candles on special nights, it's like being amongst the Northern Lights, as the seemingly endless restaurant stretches off into the horizon mix of laugher and conversation. The fusion French inspired international menu carries the expected mix of meat and fish - but it's the delivery and attention to detail that makes the basement lights shine bright. This and the rush of staff who are content to laugh with you and then beat a hasty retreat as the mood makes perfect. It's not a place for bands and disco - but this sort of venue doesn't need the distraction. If the food and company are this good, it only takes a little magic to make an evening (or lunchtime) perfect. Wyldes has that magic in abundance. Atmosphere, food to die for and a sense of adventure conspire to make this one of the region's greatest dining experiences. Stellar.
