A wonderfully atmospheric galleried playhouse. Whilst the original Victorian building burned down in 1928, the new Swan near magically recreates the Elizabethan theatre. The result is that Shakespeare is brought to life in a way that takes you as near as you can get to the theatre experience of the time and performances as the great master imagined them.
