Gorgeous food with an emphasis on the traditional. But it's the extra touches take the award-winning Brooklands Grange restaurant from the good to the extraordinary. For a start, don't expect mountains of food piled up on plates to (try and) impress you - here the emphasis is definitely on quality. Magic is in the detail and the presentation - each plate is treated as a work of art, the chef lavishing attention on colours and architecture. The result of all this, the flavour and quality of cooking, is matched in excellence by the close attention to using local produce wherever possible and the freshness of ingredients. The environment adds to the 'food expereince' and the traditional English focus of the menu matches well the 16th century origins of the Grange (a yeoman farmhouse). Little wonder that Brooklands claims that it has been "awarded the highest overall AA percentage rating based on quality of accommodation and service, of any hotel in Coventry." Rumour has it too that if you listen very hard during a visit you can hear the voice of John Lennon in the corridors (the Beatles stayed here in the 70s) ...
