The best Italian in the area, bar none. Great food, super and efficient service, brilliantly relaxed atmosphere and excellent value. A rarity in a town that gears almost strictly towards fashionable or tourist outlets and this could be true of either of the Urso family outlets - one each in Warwick and Leamington. Twenty seven or so years ago, Domenico and his wife Gill opened their first restaurant in Bath Street in Leamington Spa - and neither have looked back. Today both Piccolino's Pizzerias and Restaurants are well known across the region for their fabulous (fresh) pizza bases, pasta and seafood. Both outlets (Leamington's offering is now in Spencer Street) offer Sicillian cooking that's good enough to have allowed them to have prospered for almost three decades - and in one of the most competitive restaurant environments in the country. They can stand the heat - and fortunately for us they are staying in the kitchen. Enough said.
