Situated in a nicely restored listed building in the middle of Stratford this restaurant offers fine food in a cosy atmosphere. The waiting staff deserve a very special mention - they are always friendly and helpful. A very good place to have a relaxing evening. Lamb's is a firm favourite for pre-theatre diners so you MUST book. The environment is mediaeval with the half timbered building surprisingly light and airy - probably a result of the combination of stripped floors and the general buzz of the place. For lunch the experience is very different to dinner - there is a real sense of Lamb's returning to its roots as a (very fine) bistro. Maybe it's the lack of the theatre crowd and their particular buzz, but lunch seems a far more laid back affair - just what you need in the middle of the day. Very highly recommended.
