The restaurant environment is an integral part of the Georgetown success story, with its aim to recreate the ambience of colonial Malaya. Live piano adds immeasurably to achieving this (Mozart being a likely accompaniment to dinner). A favourite for pre-theatre dining, Georgetown follows closely the original Raffles formula (its sister and Britain's first colonial Malaysian restaurant) of three distinct menus Malay, Chinese and Indian conjoined by the legendary Singapore Sling (near mandatory on arrival!) Nominated as being one of the region's "greats" and thoroughly worthy of recognition.
