Think about Cafe Culture and the image is of sun-drenched street lined cafes in Paris, decked with people, laughter and well, life. Traditionally, cafe culture is simply something that speaks France, even if today its as characteristic of Rome or Amsterdam and a dozen or so other cities in Europe. Cafe Rouge in that sense is about as perfect an example of cafe culture as you can think of. Food is gloriously French, coffee, tea and wine are as at home on the menu as a myriad of lagers and more traditional bar offerings and the outside tables in Summer can make you wonder whether you have been transplanted across the Channel. The Crocque Madame and Monsieur are particular treats but the chance to people watch in the heart of Leamington is plain priceless. Wonderful.
