Part of the well-known chain, the Slug has changed in character since its move to the new Glasshouse apartments. If the old Slug was definitely on the 'quaint' side of the equation, the new slug is Landon (sic) modern lounge chic all the way. Yet it's also a very different experience according to the time and day of the week. Friday and Saturday nights deliver exactly what you would expect from a happening weekend bar. Weekdays though, and particularly lunchtimes, see it taken over in a big way by the suits (at which time service and food standards often reach the heights of exceptional). Deservingly popular.
