Nominated for "friendly service, excellent food, value and brilliant bar staff," The Lounge scores equally well as "a great place for a quiet lunch, a meeting place or a Saturday night out." Add its "brilliant ambience" and "week long live music" and it is little wonder that Coventry's latest venue is making quite an impact. The whole thing feels classy, with an eclectic mix of London-style gentleman's club, SOHO bar and namesake (first-class) airport lounge. However you describe it, The Lounge is certainly different in a polished and thoughtful sort of way. It could just have the sort of rare magic needed to turn it into a national institution.
